r/(2r + 2) = 1/[2+(2/r)] = 1/[2+(2/98.3)]

but 2/98.3 is too small (negligible) in comparison

Hence, 1/[2+(2/98.3)] = 1/2 (approx)

Answer: Option C

r = 98 ( Rounded off to lower whole number )

Now, \(\frac{r}{(2r + 2)} = \frac{98}{(2*98 + 2)}\)

Or, \(\frac{r}{(2r + 2)} = \frac{98}{198}\)

Or, \(\frac{r}{(2r + 2)} = \frac{49}{99}\)

\(\frac{49}{99}\) ~ \(\frac{50}{100}\) \(= \frac{1}{2}\)

Hence answer will be (C) \(\frac{1}{2}\)

Alternate Solution:
Since r= 98.3, approximate value of r=100.

Hence, r/(2r+2)
= r/2(1+r)
=100/ [2(101)]
=1/2

Hence, C
