or, x-y = z

Question is x > y?

This translates to is x – y>0

or, z>0

1) Y>0

Not sufficient.

2) Z>0

Hence Statement 2 is sufficient .

We have to prove X>Y or X-Y>0;
Given X=Y+Z or X-Y=Z
1)Y>0 insufficient
2)Z>0 or X-Y=Z>0 Sufficient.

is x>y? --> x-y>0 --> z>0 ?

a) y>0 . no information on z. insufficient

b) z>0. Sufficient
