Ans is E

I took a simple example
1/2 = 0.5
now add 2 to both numerator and denominator
3/4 = 0.75
now again add 2 to both numerator and denominator
5/6 = 0.83

so as the N and D increases the value also increases. So based on this hypothesis, E is the correct choice.

In each of the answer choices, the difference between the numerator and denominator is the same i.e 3. Hence the number with the largest numerator and largest denominator will be the highest.

To illustrate this point :

$$\frac{1}{2} = 0.5$$

$$\frac{9}{10} = 0.9$$

$$\frac{99}{100} = 0.99$$

Why the answer is not C

E. 1883491/1883494=0.99999840721...

Alright

But if we take 1/2 of 40 = 20 and 1/4 of 40= 10 then 1/2> than 1/4.

I can easily notice the gap between the numerators and denominators of the mentioned fractions are the same. So that I just pick the highest numerator and denominator to get the highest number, which is the answer D.
