just purchase and still on page 18:
some very minor issues so far:
1) Preposition phrases are in chapter 13, however few pages (pg 14, 15) indicate its on chapter 15.
2) Page 16: The girls are talking to the boys - here boys are complement - however the book tells its a modifier
3) Page 16: Madonna is performing tonight - here tonight is modifier, the book tells it is a complement.

I will post my summary/potential minor issues that can be fixed in future versions once I complete reading the book.

Thanks a lot for this book! It's great source of info!
I found some mistakes and I think it's better to correct them - there are no answers for the problem sets "Between/among" & "Like/as if"

I was just going through the preview of the book. Looks like it will be a very useful resource.

Had a question on Exercise 3, question 8 (page23). Below is the answer from the book (page 102):

8. ___An___ hour ago I saw ___a___ eagle flying overhead.

I was thinking if the it should be "an eagle" instead of "a eagle". My reference: the song "i want to fly like an eagle... to the sea" ;).

Let me know if I am not right.

Hi bb, I've purchased the book resently and I find it very helpful. I think other non-native speakers can agree with me :)
While checking the answers to the first exercise I found a thing, which is not clear for me even after reading the chapter again. The answer to sentence 7 states S V C M meaning that "inside" is a complement. But this word answers to question "where?" so it should be a modifier. Could it be a mistake in answers or am I getting this wrong?

I have a question regarding the DRM of the book. I am working on multiple computers, one at work and a personal one at home. I am planning to buy an E-Reader too. Can I keep the copies on them? Or will the file be glued to the pc on which I have downloaded it?

We tried to make it easy.
You get a PDF and you can keep it on as many computers as you would like.

Let me know if any other questions!

Hi.. In the GMAT Grammar book, Exercise 35,

7- answer is (not have gone)... I believe it should be (not HAD gone) as in the past negative contrary to fact sentences we use hadn't + verb in past participle, for (would rather that) type.

8- answer is had served ... I believe it should be (have served) as its the "would rather - past case", the formula for that mentioned is subject + would rather + have + verb in past participle..

can someone pls confirm the above two, or am I missing something. ..

thanks.

Some more observations: From Advanced Practice Exercise,

5- (Answer given is C) - It can only be C, if you remove 'for' from the end or D if you add that to connect the restrictive clause.

33- (Answer given is A) - although none of the choices seem right, don't you think the answer should be ... "would work on it this weekend instead of... "

39 - (answer given is B) - Is this really a logical conclusion since we used 'must', sound more like an obligation and hence 'should', should have been used.. don't you agree ?

42 - (answer given is D) - It can't be D since the pronoun at the start of D 'his' has no subject/Noun (misplaced modifier).. Don't you think the answer should be 'A', the subject is being introduced and is a complete sentence with proper pronoun linkage.

Let me know..
