Hello Guys,

I am just wondering how the GMAT Prep Test 1 works. I took it 3 times (so the same test) and I got each time new questions....

Another strange thing is that the first time I scored 640 (8/12 incorrect answers in IR, 12/37 incorrect answers in quant and 21/41 incorrect answers in verbal), and the second time I also scored 640 but I had less incorrect answers. (4/12 incorrect answers in IR, 9/37 incorrect answers in quant and 18/41 incorrect answers in verbal). How is that?

Thanks a lot.

Hi,

This is because all the questions in GMAT DO NOT have the same weightage.
There are some experimental questions (which are not considered while calculating your score).
First 10 and last 10 questions have more weightage then rest of the questions in both verbal and quant sections.
In Verbal, RC has the maximum weightage. So the better you do in RC the better you score and vice versa.

Hope it helps!
