Hi GMAT Experts / Club Members,

Just wondering if anyone has a breakdown of the question type distribution. Understand there are 37 quant questions and 41 verbal questions. How many of 41 verbal questions would be SC, RC, and CR? And how many of 37 quant questions would be DS and PS? And would this distribution be consistent for every test? Thanks!

Most general books have this approximate distribution. Here are the numbers from Kaplan Premier, and yes, it is pretty consistent (not perfect)

Quant
• PS - 22 questions
• DS - 15 questions

Verbal
• CR - 12 questions
• RC - 14 questions (usually 4 passages)
• SC - 15 questions

Do you have any insights as to how many of GMAT questions are experimental questions that are not used for final score calculation? Thanks!
