Hi, Thanks for your inquiry! I believe your CGPA of 3.31 is out of 4 which is very good and your Internships in financial sector: bank and insurance does make your profile strong. But Top universities in the usa look for an overall profile which includes a GMAT score of 680 and above with good academics, projects and atleast 2-4 years of work experience. There are universities where you may apply with your score for MS in finance but for that we would need to evaluate your profile. Please fwd us your updated Resume at rarora@mnemoniceducation.com

Definitely retake. You can see UT Austin’s class profile at http://www.mccombs.utexas.edu/MSF/Admissions/2014-Class-Profile which shows a mean GMAT of 701 and middle 80% range of 650-760.

If you are unable to significantly raise your GMAT score after retaking the test, you might wish to consider less selective programs.

Good luck,

Do you have any examples of less selective programs? Maybe for MS in management as well?

Hi shazman,

Totally agree with above comments here. Your CGPA, internship in financial sector is really good and makes your profile competitive enough to apply for MS program from UT Austin. The only thing lacking in your profile is a good GMAT Score and work experience. I would definitely suggest you to retake your GMAT and gain some work experience to make your profile strong.

You may also gauge your chances of getting admission to top business school by trying this amazing tool http://bit.ly/1C9o2Md

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
