You can't change the (up to 5) programs that you selected on test day. If you'd like to send your score to other programs, you'll need to pay $35 per program.

GMAT scores validity [#permalink]
From the FAQ:

Q: How long are GMAT scores valid?

A: GMAT scores are valid for five years, and are available for reporting for up to 10 years. Scores over 10 years old, are not available.

Q: How do I send my scores to schools?

A: On the day you take the GMAT® exam, but before you begin, you may select up to five (5) GMAT accepting programs to receive your Official Score Report. If you did not select any GMAT programs to receive your scores on the day of your exam, or if you would like to send your scores to more than the five (5) programs you selected on your test day, you may order Additional Score Reports to be sent to schools online, by phone, by fax, or by mail for a fee. When you order an Additional Score Report to be sent to a school, you will also receive a copy. You may order a score report online.
To order a score report by phone, contact GMAT Customer Service for your region. Please note, there will be a USD $10 surcharge for scheduling by phone.

Hi,
I'm in my 3rd year of engineering and am hopeful to appear for the GMAT exam during the latter half of my 4th year after some months of preparation.
I would like to know that will my GMAT scores be valid after a couple of years (as scores are valid for 5 years) as I'm planning to gain some experience in my field.
Also can I change the preference of my college when I finally apply for them.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

You already have answers however I am just re-affirming that score is valid for 5 years so you would be able to apply to colleges with same score with-in 5 years from the date of test score.

however in a few B-Schools they might ask you to retake the exam if the score is older than 3 years. It's not that they are refusing to accept the old GMAT score but still they would want to check whether your skills in terms of aptitude are still the same.
