Important Update May 3, 2017:

We have released several improvements to the GMAT Club Workbook!
If you are not familiar with it, I highly recommend that you explore this area and start adding questions (questions are automatically added to the workbook when you use the timer). The workbook can help you keep track of you forum activity, save your practice history, and identify your weaknesses. Now it is even better!

1. Filter practice history (bottom area of the workbook) by Forum
2. Filter practice history by Difficulty (new!)
3. Filter practice history by Source! (new!)
4. Now we display your answer - it is Green if you answered the question correctly and Red if you got it wrong (new!)
5. Now we provide an easy way for you to Download your Workbook and build an ErrorLog out of it (new!)

Visit the GMAT Club Workbook

Thank you everyone for your suggestions and for pushing for this, esp warriorguy and mvictor

This is amazing. Was looking forward to these changes.

At the risk of sounding too ambitious, do we have anything in the pipeline to select the source for Daily Practice Questions so that only questions from those source would pop in?

WR,

Currently, RCs are not stored in our workbook.

Your workbook will contain only SC, CR, PS and DS questions.

We will come up with a solution to handle these sooner or later.

Thanks

Your Own Personalized Daily Practice Questions from GMAT Club!

We are excited to roll out a new feature that combines our Forum Workbook and the GMAT Club Forum Timer.
Starting TODAY, you can use the forum timer to track your performance, build history, receive personalized practice questions and even estimate your GMAT score! All from practicing questions on the GMAT Club Forum.

Visit Your Workbook to See for Yourself

Here is what you get and it is all FREE

• Customized just for you: Monday through Friday we will pick questions that match your level based on your Timer History. Naturally, the more history you have, the better recommendations you will receive.
• Only new questions: we’ll select only the questions you have not attempted yet with the timer so you can have fresh practice questions
• Track your progress: every day (as long as you have taken at least 6 questions for DS, PS, CR, and SC, we’ll even send you an estimated GMAT score
• Daily or Weekly: in your workbook you can set how frequently you receive emails from us – daily or weekly
• Email or Online: you can receive questions via email or look them up in your workbook – same questions but just for you
• Practice Pays: the more you use the timer, the better questions and estimates you will receive
• Bonus: every day we’ll also include one hard and tricky question as a bonus - see if you can crack it!

FAQ:

What is GMAT Club Forum Timer?
The forum timer can be found in the question discussion forums such as DS, PS, CR, SC and is found on top of every question post. Here is how looks:
Spoiler: :: "See a screenshot" "Hide Details"

Where can I find the questions?
You can find questions in your GMAT Club Workbook or via email.

How often will I receive questions?
You will received a personalized compilation of questions every day Monday through Friday

Will my questions be always personalized?
No. We will start sending a personalized selection as soon as you take at least 6 timers in a week

How many questions are personalized for me on a daily basis?
You will receive 4 Quant (PS or DS) and 4 Verbal (CR or SC) questions as well as one tough and tricky question of the day. However, the tough & tricky question is the same for all users, so you can have with it and see if you can beat the crowd to the answer & solution!

When will my GMAT score estimate be available?
Once you take at least 6 questions in each of the forums, your GMAT Score will be estimated the following day. Your section scores (quant and verbal) will be available after you take 12 questions (6 in PS and 6 DS or 6 in CR and 6 in SC)

Where can i find more questions to practice?
You can find the questions nicely categorized in our question banks section or in one of our question directories

Why do you not send out questions on the weekends?
We believe that there is time to work, take CAT's, and time to rest. We suggest that you either rest or take a full size CAT test on the weekend (if you are ready that is)

This is an amazing feature and great analytics. Is there a way we can do in-depth analysis to understand accuracy in each area e.g. Arithmetic, Algebra, Modifiers etc within each high-level section (PS/DS/SC etc.), similar to the topic breakdown we have on question directories. This would help me understand the areas I need to practice and study more and focus my effort accordingly. Are we planning to build anything such in the near future. Thanks.

Hello bb,

Thanks for this great feature. I absolutely love it! In fact the "workbook" is an indispensable tool in my prep.

I have a small question though. Some times under "Daily Practice Questions" I get questions that I have already attempted with timer. I mean at times I do not get fresh questions (It has happened twice to be very specific). Is this by design or I am doing something wrong here. Its just that having fresh questions every day for practice would be great!

Having said I cannot say enough of how much I like this feature - Thanks!

hi bb

I hope it is not a bit embarrassing, but I have been using workbook
to only analyse my attempts from OG master links for Q /V by carcass
although I realize that the GMAT club timer can be used on all Qs except RC.

My query to group is : If I click on any of two START NOW tab as shown in attachment, I
am diverted to whole arena of GMATclub and not ideally only specific set of Qs
(for eg, say DS from OG source with difficulty level of 700+) Does it mean I have
to check list specific type every time I want to practice Qs? Is it possible to have multiple
filters (say less than 600 level and only OG Qs) to attempt selected Qs?

Let me know why I am getting above error since its cumbersome to manually select
topics than have system present me random Qs. Would love to have default source
as OG and retired GMAT prep Qs for this auto-selection by system.

WR,
Arpit

I didn't recognize that workbook doesn't store RC questions, so I didn't' bookmark those questions. I tried to find RC questions in workbook but thought that I didn't know the place RC's stored. Till now I searched and knew that I cannot extract those RC questions. Any ways to find those RC questions which I answered? thanks

Hi. The workbook does not support RC unfortunately due to the nature of the RC questions (more than 1 question per topic)
To find the questions you have answered and used the timer on, you can visit the RC forum and identify them in the forum by locating a small timer icon - each question with the attempted timer should display one.

Please note that only questions in CR, SC, DS, and PS forums support Workbook. If a question is not in the workbook, it is from another forum.

Hi bb

Seems like there is a problem with the GMAT score estimate. I have been attempting 700 level verbal questions with a mediocre accuracy level (around 70%). Still my projected verbal score is coming to be V51.

Thanks for your question - I will ask to check it out. This may be just that others have been attempting other questions with more mediocrity
The estimate is based on a small sample of questions and based on your performance compared to other folks under "similar" conditions (meaning time, answers, type, and difficulty of questions).

Can we add the date column in the excel version of the error log . With date column added , it will become very easy to check the progress made in a specific time period on a the pivot .
Though the selection of dates is possible but with a date column in excel , it will become easier to check the progress in any specific period on a single sheet .

bb Bunuel - The GMAT Score estimate and trends do not reflect the RC questions attempted. So the verbal score estimates are not correct. Please can you kindly help and update these graphs with RC question attempted data.
Many Thanks

Hi. You are correct. The RCs are not reflected in the error log score estimation. Long story why it does not but currently it is not included.

Thx
BB.

A and E are both pretty clearly out of the scope of the passage, so they can be discarded.

Now, there are two premises in this passage, that Specialist Coaches are underrepresented on the NFL selection committees and that these committees are the ones that advise the NFL directors and recommend policies. The conclusion that is drawn is that this underrepresentation is the cause of the lack of NFL technical support for research in Specialist Techniques.

If we look at options B C and D, B soon emerges as the best choice. D talks about funding for the coaches themselves, when the passage is about how the lack of coaches leads to a dearth of funding for their fields. C inverts the premise. What the passage is saying is that more Specialist Coaches on the selection committees will lead to more funding for Specialist Technique research, as the coaches will advocate for it, in their policy recommendations.

A makes a comparison error by comparing the manner in which teens are accepted to younger children. C makes the mistake of using ‘than’ for comparison, when it should have used ‘as’. D makes another comparison error, it compares ‘acceptance’ with ‘younger children’. This is wrong since they are two different categories of nouns. E compares ‘being accepted…’ to ‘younger children’. This is a comparison error and it changes the sentence’s meaning.

B is the best option, since it makes none of these error.

Thanks for the post.
My guess it is Q51..... but I will check. and Yes, it should be around 720. I will take a look why it is off.

Note: The system is based on the timer data and is not designed to be anything comprehensive or as accurate as an actual CAT.

Hello,
Quick question.
My score estimator shows 680 V 51 ,Q 38. when I look at the GMAT scoring pattern, the score is more of 720ish.
Is this because of the sample size being different for the actual GMAT and the score estimator here?

Does the score estimator reflect where do I stand?

regards,

Thanks BB,
Even though I am thrilled at the prospect of V 51, I know it may not reflect my current status.
I have attempted about 180 odd quant questions and about 450+ verbal questions from the Butler services.
I was trying to see where do I stand before I take a reset on 15th Oct.
