Question....are verbal and quant sections of the GMAT weighted evenly in determining the scaled score? In other words would a scaled score of 40 verbal, 45 quant. produce the same total score (for example 650) as 45 verbal, 40 quant. Seems to me it should not, that verbal should be weighted higher as a score of 45 verbal puts you in the 98% bracket, whereas a score of 45 quant is only 74%. I am new to this and looking for advice.

Basically it is a different scale for Math and Verbal - they are not comparable really.
