Hello,

I took the GMAT last fall, and did very well. I am not applying to B-School right away, mostly because my current job will end soon and I want to line up new employment before commiting to the expense. I support my family, so it's not like I can take a couple of years off to attend school full-time either even if I did have a way to pay for it. I did some reading here back when I was preparing for my exam (thanks for the tips), and I vaguely remember seeing posts mentioning GMAT tutoring companies that are interested in hiring people who have very high scores for pretty good money. I thought it would be a good interim activity if I am unemployed for a while before I get a new full-time job.

I did some looking around again and so far haven't seen the kind of thing I remember seeing last fall. Am I imagining it, or are there such opportunities available? I'm near Hartford, Connecticut.

Many thanks!

Yes, MGMAT will actually provide a pretty generous sign on bonus as long as you can commit to 6 or 12 months or something like that... however, opportunities are regional/area based.

You can check with MGMAT here: http://www.manhattangmat.com/instructor-jobs.cfm

Also Veritas Prep offers very competitive options and compensation. You can check with them here:
http://www.veritasprep.com/jobs/

You must have a score above 750 for both of these (99th percentile)

Excellent, thank you. It looks like Veritas will be more difficult from my current location, but Manhattan might be more flexible. I'm reaching out to them, I appreciate your help.
