My friend, I see your strength and I admire it. I wish you the best.
I have a few recommendations for you.
First of all, to help you on the verbal side, here's a free GMAT Idiom ebook:http://magoosh.com/gmat/2013/gmat-idiom-ebook/
Here's a blog on GMAT CR, with links to other blogs discussing individual strategies:http://magoosh.com/gmat/2012/save-time- ... questions/
Here's a blog on GMAT SC, with links to other blogs discussing content:http://magoosh.com/gmat/2013/gmat-grammar/
My biggest recommendation for folks who are not native English speakers is: READ
. Read every day. Make a habit of reading, at least an hour a day, over and above any GMAT preparation. Since you are headed for an MBA, reading the Wall Street Journal
every day would be a good idea. Law journals would also be good. Here are some more recommendations:http://magoosh.com/gmat/2012/gmat-reading-list/
Here is a three-month study plan designed for folks who struggle on the verbal side:http://magoosh.com/gmat/2012/3-month-gm ... l-focused/
I also think Magoosh
could really help you. You would qualify for the score guarantee:http://gmat.magoosh.com/score-guarantee
although in all likelihood, Magoosh
would help you achieve an increase of much more than 50 points. Here, for free, is a sample Grammar Lesson:http://gmat.magoosh.com/lessons/942-clauses
Here is a sample SC question:http://gmat.magoosh.com/questions/3225
Here's a sample CR question:http://gmat.magoosh.com/questions/3746
When you submit your answer to each one of those, the following page will have a complete video explanation. Each one of our 700+ practice questions has its own explanation, for accelerated learning.
Finally, understandably you are under a great deal of stress, and you seemed to indicate that stress was an impediment for you on your first GMAT. I would like to recommend this series of articles:http://magoosh.com/gmat/2012/overcome-g ... y-breathe/http://magoosh.com/gmat/2012/beating-gmat-stress/http://magoosh.com/gmat/2012/the-gmat-b ... g-picture/http://magoosh.com/gmat/2012/zen-boot-c ... -the-gmat/
If you can follow these recommendations to develop your attention, mindfulness, and focus, it would make you a very powerful person, effective not only on the GMAT but in pursing the cause of justice in general.
I hope Magoosh
can help you with the GMAT, but even if you decide not to use Magoosh
, I hope you get everything you can from that free blog. There's a lot there that can help you.
Best of luck, my friend. Please let me know if I can answer any further questions for you.
