Re: GmatPill Practice Test - Score Review [#permalink]
I have just taken the GMAT Pill free test and my score was below that of my GMAT Prep mocks. I scored 640 (Q43,V34) while in the official mocks I was scoring around 700-730.
Even tough I was answering correctly 5-6 level 700 questions in a row, when I answer one incorrectly, i received a level 600 question.
Nevertheless, I believe I´ll use it more as a guide of where are my weakest areas than to preview my score in the actual exam. GMAC has a ton of data so they can precisely tell what is the difficult level of an specific question.
I think GMAT Prep is a more precise way to determine what will be your score in the actual exam.

Yes you are right, you should only take gmat prep scores seriously...But you must review each and every mock too.

Has anyone taken GmatPill free practice test recently ?
I took it today and got a score of 580 (62 %ile)
27 (V)(44 %ile) - 27 correct out of 37
43 (Q) (70 %ile) - 26 correct out of 41
Most of the question were tagged as 700-level.

Prior to this, i have been getting scores between 680-720.
I have a doubt regarding their scoring techniques considering the correct %age.
I understand that it is difficult to simulate the official GMAT algorithm, but i feel GmatPill's algo is way off target.
So just wanted to check whether it is just me or even others feel the same.

Same story here... scored 630 Q- 46 (which is never below 49) and V-30 (My avg is 34). My avg score is 690.

Hi,

Just gave GMAT PILL free test and got below scores

Verbal -35 (31 correct of 41)
Quant - 41 (30 correct of 37)

630 is the score

Is this logical?

As my most mistakes in quant happened between 24 and 31 question with no mistakes in first 15 and last 10.

Can someone please comment on this .

Thanks

Do not worry about the scores. Just revise your mock and find out what went wrong and how it can be corrected.

These CATs are only good for practice and pacing. Scores..ufff ...do not loose your mind over CAT scores. The only scores that are important are GMATPrep scores.

Thanks samichange

I have attempted GMAT Prep as well, got 700 on Prep 4,650 on Prep 3

So,was quite intrigued with the result Pill threw on me(considering number of incorrects I hjave done),I bet I could have got verbal 39 instead of 35 with that many correct & also the frequency of wrongs in the section.
