GmatPrep exam pack: what to expect after 710 & 750? [#permalink]

Hi,
this is my first post on Gmat Club even if I have been using this site since last year. Thanks to everyone contributing in this forum, I always found what I was looking for! :D

Anyway, I'm preparing for my second attempt (first one in December, 640) and after taking e-Gmat CR and SC courses, I tried exam 3 and 4 from GMATPrep Exam pack and scored 710 (Q48 V40) last saturday and then 750 (Q49 V42) yesterday (AWA+IR included). Both this results were..let's say "unexpected", since I thought I was more on a 690-700 range. Clearly I improved more than I thought.

My question is, what should I expect from the real exam, which is scheduled for next tuesday? Is GmatPrep (and especially, the Exam Pack) really a good estimator for the real performance at these levels? I know it's of course the best, but only compared to the others available.

On my first attempt, GmatPrep exam 2 "predicted" a 660 and so it was quite accurate. But is GmatPrep accuracy the same for 600 and 700 scores? I would like to hear some of you who have done the real thing after doing the gmatprep exam pack.

Also, can someone give me some advice for these 2-3 days of calm before the storm? :D Edit: nevermind this question, I found a thread by bb for this :D

The more I read about the 4th GmatPrep exam, the more I wonder how accurate it is. It seems quite inflated. On my 1st and 2nd, I scored 710. On the 3rd, I scored 740, on the fourth, 760. Test day, I got a 710.

Just come back from the test center: 690 (Q47 V38). Since my performance was quite normal, I think the exam pack's scores are rather inflated. If not the quant, at least the verbal..nevertheless during the test I didn't notice anything too different from gmatprep.

These are my GmatPrep scores (respectively Exam 1,2,3,4) taken exactly in one month (between the second and the third I started the e-gmat course):
07/02 650 Q47 V32
18/02 680 Q49 V34
01/03 710 Q48 V40
07/03 750 Q49 V42

So yeah, seems like my real score is less than the average of my 4 last mocks, despite having improved a lot between the first and the last two.

Did I underperform? I cannot really understand if this was a normal decrease.

Congrats on a great score. I had a Q48, V44 split when I got 760 on the 4th GMAT prep exam. It does seem to me that the verbal was relatively easier or inflated. My Q score on test day was the same, but Verbal was tougher (got a V39 on the real test).

I am in the same boat, wondering if I just underperformed on the real test and am actually capable of better, or if the 3rd and 4th tests were less difficult overall.
