Hi Guys,

I would really like to get your advice here I did GmatPrep 2 and got a score of Q49,
What I dont understand is why, I got 7 question wrong
#8,16,17,21,33,36,37 - for what I read here I expected to get Q50.

can someone just let me know if I'm extremely unlucky or do I need to aim to get less than 4 questions wrong to cross to Q50?

Mistakes in clusters(33,36,37) or mistakes in consecutive questions(16,17) is something I can point at for one. Moreover, if the questions were relatively easier according to GMAT, then yes, your percentile can take a hit.

I made 4 mistakes(#13,17,35,37) in today's prep and got Q50(90%ile). 2 of those 4 were relatively easier questions so it is quite possible that you may be penalised more for getting easier questions wrong.

Moreover I had 8 mins or so left. Should have used it wisely to solve #35 which was a little trickier.
