The Q Pack 1
To purchase you will need to go to mba.com and purchase it like any other online product. At the end of your purchase you will be given the download option and a code. See the image below.

After you double click the .qsp file it opens in GMATPrep. You need to click activate and enter the code that you received after the purchase.

It looks like technically it is possible to use the Q Pack in multiple computers. But I haven't tried it yet.

If I understand your question correctly, the answer is no. The stat is provided as a percent of questions answered correctly. Here is a screenshot.

Sorry everyone! I wanted to finish the review by Sunday. But the taxes took precedence. I am done with about 50% of it. Hope to finish it by Wednesday.

I finished SC and CR tonight. I finished about 70% of PS and DS. Hopefully, I will post the PS and DS by Friday.

Here is a rough analysis of SC and CR. These are by no means complete or accurate. I will revise and post a more accurate analysis.

1. SC questions are very old. I assumed that the question ID reflects the creation time of the question. I found that the SC questions in QPack1 range from 1000 to 3000, whereas the default set contains questions in the 7000 range.

2. The above point is not true for CR. Although difficulty did not vary much, the quality of the questions are very good.

Both PS and DS questions are newer and contains relatively hard problems. Here is the pie chart of question types. As I said before I have completed only 70% of the quant problems. I will update these as soon as I am done with the set.

Hi all,

I just found an overlap between the "new" question pack and the OG Quant, 1st edition.

The question id number in the question pack is QPS14006. This is the exact same question as PS question number 131 in OG Quant (1st ed.), page 79.

I am not sure how much more overlap there is, but I feel a bit cheated. GMAC did not mention this anywhere on their website.

I bought the question pack because I thought it would contain NEW additional questions that are not part of any other GMAC publication.

It would be interesting to find out how much overlap there really is. Maybe Manhattan GMAT could do this kind of analysis - similarly to the comparison between OG12 and OG13.

Anyways, won't complain too much about this - after all, the software kind of allows you to practice more efficiently.

By the way, this link gives a very misleading answer in this regard:

https://www.mba.com/faq/gmatprep-softwar ... ducts.aspx

Edit: Not sure if this question really is part of the additional question pack - or part of the free questions that come with the software - could someone please verify?

Maybe my rant was inappropriate after all

Thanks for the excellent post.

I have a question regarding QP-1: can we integrate the new question pool into those 2 practice exams or are these QP-1 only available in practice mode.

Thanks.

It looks like the QPack is only for practice.

Well then I just hope in practice mode it throws up a balanced mix of questions (esp. in verbal), if one simulates an exam like set of 37/41 questions.

Hi,
I hope I am not repeating this question. Can somebody please review the Question Pack 1. Can we use it as part of the practice exam? If not can we simulate a practice exam using this question pack our-self? How hard are the questions in this Question pack?

Thank You for your time,

mvamsee,

I am working on the problems right now. I will keep posting the a review on the bunch of problems at a time.

The problem is there is not way to review all the problems I worked only. I can review only the one I answered wrong.

I am trying to do it as soon as I can. It may take till Sunday.

Quote:

No. I haven't seen any options to use it to simulate an exam.

Quote:

There is a exam mode vs. practice mode. I haven't tried the exam mode yet. I will try it and let you know ASAP.

Quote:
How hard are the questions in this Question pack?

I did 10 of each type of questions. Although the questions are of good quality, nothing seemed extra ordinary.

I think you can use it now. It does include Integrated Reasoning.

I've couple of questions about gmat prep2.0
1) Whats the difference between two practice modes - study and exam?
Is "exam" mode timed? If so, is the time alloted to certain number of practice questions configurable?

2) Is it possible to reset a subset of questions that you already answered and practice them again?
