Ok, so I took the GMAT last October with minimal study and FUBAR'ed it for a 580 (Q32,V36).

Since then I have enrolled in the MGMAT course and am 2/3 of the way through. My verbal score has gone way up (V51, 99%), but my math score is GOING DOWN! (latest was a Q30, 29% disaster)

Did crap like this happen to any of you?? Even though I'm an engineer and graduated top 2% of my class, math is kicking my butt. I moved 22 times in the first 18 years of my life, so I'm assuming my fragmented education while I was younger has caught up to me.

Grrrrr.... stupid #\$% GMAT.

I figured out a solution.

I'm just going to persuade a math genius such as hobbit, pelihu, or fig to take the section for me. I know a guy who used to do concealment and plastic modeling for some secret organization. So, what we need to do is make a mask and put fake fingerprints on you so you look like me!!!

Bleh... back to math studying...

I remember reading about a scheme a few years back where people tried to beat the LSAT. The LSAT was (still is I think) given only on paper, with about 5 different versions on test day. If I remember correctly, some really rich kids were able to hire a bunch of random test takers to take the test all over, and then used text messaging to get the questions out. Then, they had people analyze and answer the questions. The cheaters then waited in Hawaii, where things start 6 hours later than on the East Coast the same day, and had the answers in hand for all versions of the test given that day.

Don't think you can beat the GMAT like that though. Good luck with your studying.
