Hi,

Can anyone help me explain this difference between has and have from OG.

Correct
--------
The number of residents has grown.
The masses have spoken.

Incorrect
----------
The number of residents have grown.
The masses has spoken.

"The number" of is singular.
"The masses" is plural.
