Can anyone help? It is from the challenges..

[-4(8^3) + (8^3)]/8*4*3 =

[-3(8^3)]/8*4*3 = -16

I do not see how we got the -3?? How did we simplify to that?

Take the 8^3 out like shown below.

8^3[-4+1] = 8^3 (-3)
