This is an old topic and would love to hear where you ended up.
In terms of MBB recruiting, there are some goals per school but I don't think MBB's have a bigger goal for Sloan than they do for other programs. However, with BCG having Bostin in its name, I am sure there is some impact due to geography. Ranking or not, geography matters as Foster and McCombs have proven with their tech recruiting. On a side note, HBS and Stanford tend to place people into a greater variety and esp smaller firms that are recruiting a kick-ass star. There are more options and the classes tend to be very diverse allowing grads to explore variety of options and really be passionate about what they want to do.
I don't think your chances will be much diff at Sloan vs. Wharton. If you are looking at anything Fin related, Wharton is obviously the gold standard. If you are going to be working outside of the US, MIT is in a very high regard globally.
Anyway, sorry I did not discover this topic sooner
