Heartbreaking Enhanced online gmat (technical Issues)

I'd like to share my GMAT enhanced online GMAT experience. I previously gave an attempt with the older online version with pearson VUE and scored a 660(Q46,V35). After 2 months of hard prep I took the exam today and here's what went down.

Quant section went well, I was feeling confident and started facing some lag towards the end Question 28 onwards I think but it was bearable.
All hell went loose after my verbal section started. From Question 2, the secure browser became extremely laggy and started freezing. I would be selecting the answer choice but the app would respond only after 5 seconds. After this another 5 seconds for the Next button to respond and some more time for the confirmation message to show up. It would take minimum of 20-30 seconds to load the next question (timer paused thankfully).
This happened throughout the section, every single question the app would get stuck and when its back my timer has gone down.
I called on to the proctor so many times asking if he could hear me or if anyone was there. Helpless, I continued since this was my last online attempt and it was just wasting my already depleted time.
My RC's took a massive hit with all this lag, lost focus and started stressing on the time.
I had to rush the section. Though verbal section is 65 minutes long, it easily took my 90 minutes to complete with all the lag and freezing. I was mentally exhausted.
This continued throughout the IR section as well with even longer lags and the app even exited automatically once.
The AWA was stressful, my sentences would show up only 5 seconds after I typed them out. There was lag with every thing I did here- Backspace, spelling correction, starting new paragraph etc.

After the exam, I saw a V29 (620 overall), my heart sunk. I was getting consistent V36-40 and 700+ on mocks days before the exam.

I have reached out to GMAC highlighting this experience and have asked them to take a look at the zoom recording, which could back up my claims 100%. I've asked for a free retake or a refund but I'm not sure if that would happen.

If any of you have experienced the same and would like to share experience with GMAC support, it would be awesome.
