My profile is below. I feel I will be competitive at most schools but I am curious if I can narrow down my school selection as I would like to focus on 5-6 schools instead of 8.
GMAT: 720 (Q47 / V41) AWA: 6.0
GPA: 3.8 (Marketing and Economics), 4.0 all upper-division & major classes - Top 100 Large State School
Work experience(WE): 2yrs CPG Sales at Top 5 Food CPG, 2yrs Marketing/Brand Management @ smaller CPG Food ($1b)
Age: 26 at matriculation
Gender: M
Extra-curriculars/community: Many - Devleoped Community Service Committee at current job, Big Brother, founded charity even at previous job, on board over leadership organization in college, student leadership panel for non-profit in college
An interview can only help me as I'm an excellent interviewer.
I'd like to continue my career in CPG food marketing, just at a top tier company. I have a passion for food marketing as this is what I've wanted to go into since I was young.
Target Schools in Order
Kellogg
Wharton
Harvard
Duke
Ross
Columbia
Indiana
Texas
I feel I'm competitive, but it's hard to tell with the top schools. I'd love to just apply to my top 5 and leave out CBS, Indiana and Texas. Do you think I need Indiana and Texas for safety schools or am I strong enough to consider Duke and Michigan my safety schools?
Thanks!
