I am doing well in RC when not timed. However during tests, sometimes I panic, sometimes I try to do it fast,as a result pick wrong answers, sometimes I go into loops not able to figure what exactly was happenning.

I know I have to practice, practice and practice. But not everybody has lot of time left before the test. In fact, I read wall street journal daily (not for gmat purposes but biz news) , have been reading it past couple of years atleast. When I read non-gmat material ,I never find any problem.

Actually I am doing well in RC when time is not set. However in practice tests, where it is timed, I am making various mistakes. By the time I reach RC stage, I am drained a bit and definately not at my best.genral misakes are - I try to read too fast or too slow, sometimes re-reading the samething trying to clear the confusion and sometimes I find myself in a very awkard position trying to re-read the same 3-4 times and still with no clue what it means.(anybody in the same boat?)

I am trying differrent strategies referred in Kaplan and elsewhere but nothing seem to be working in the tests.I appreciate your suggestions especially how you managed to improve in RC.

Thanks.

Thanks Paul for the link. Skimming did not work for me either.I will have to read the whole passage again anyways, to get the clear picture.

My main issue is with time.Any RC, give me few more minutes,I will ace it.

Another observation is,when you read an article in magazine or news papers, first you will read the heading. So, you already know what you are going to read about before you start the first sentence. That is not the same case in gmat CR.You keep on guessing and trying to figure the main idea.

I think I will also work on agressive guessing while reading.
