IMHo your score is constent. Your first GMATprep was 710, EP1 and EP2 first attempts were 720, and your official score is 710. I think you have to identify spots and and work on them. What sections you are good at, and what sections you're not that good? Did you get ESR?

GMAT Prep, EP1 & EP2 each have 2 tests, >750 scores are not retake scores but each a fresh exam.

I didnt take ESR.

Hi Saby29

An ESR should definitely help clear out a few things for you.
Also, you have not mentioned anything about your split in the original exam.
Once that information is available, the GMAT Experts on our forum will
be able to give you the advice you might need to improve your scores.

Hope that helps you!

Hi pushpitkc

In official GMAT, split was Q49V38

In GMAT Prep, my max Q was 51 and max V was 44.

I followed strategy of accuracy in first 20 questions spending around 40 mins in Verbal and 45 mins in Quant and then speed up and try to maintain momentum.

Are there any tips on test day strategy/concentration etc? Can some particular method of practice help?

Thanks in advance

Great insight, I checked my GMAT prep exams and find that I scored V40 and V44 both with 6 incorrect, but in case of V40, incorrects were concentrated at the end.

Do you think for me best verbal strategy would be to follow Takt time approach and quickly guess a longer time taking question and move on to keep enough time to finish strongly?

Let me take the ESR.

Thanks for your reply!

Does the Computer adaptability run through the 2 sections?
I took Verbal first (V38, ~15 incorrect) and then in Quant (Q49, ~6 incorrect) my average difficulty level did not increase beyond Medium High in the entire exam though I got only 2 questions wrong in first 29 questions!

If this weird observation is true, would it make sense for a Q strong person to take Q first?

If you're asking whether your performance on the first adaptive section affects question selection on the second, the answer is no. The two sections are completely independent of each other in terms of scoring and question selection/difficulty.

Because the algorithm considers only performance within a section, whatever you noticed in your ESR should not determine whether you start with quant or not.

From what I am able to understand from your ESR(especially when it comes to the Verbal Section)
Quartile 1(1-10) : 5/8(2 experimental questions)
Quartile 2(11-20) : 3/7(3 experimental questions)
Quartile 3(21-30) : 5/7(3 experimental questions)
Quartile 4(31-41) : 6/8(3 experimental questions)

That's about 11 questions wrong!
You have to concentrate on getting those mistakes down and
possibly avoid a streak of mistakes to improve your GMAT score

Hi!

It seems that SC is your weak spot. What's great is that SC is the easiest to improve. Improving SC will help you not only get higher score, but also get more time on CR and RC.

You can get more official questions from gmatprep verbal question bank:
https://gmatclub.com/forum/gmatprep-ver ... 30070.html

Thursdays with Ron is also great to improve strategy on SC:

Hope this helps!
