I am very sad that I cannot attend any of these school events, online chat sessions, or classes. The online chats tend to be during the afternoon (lunch time but the internet gets buggy sometimes), the class visits are weekday only, and the only event that I have seen that is on the weekend starts on a friday afternoon and ends sunday (need to have a hotel :( ). I wish that I could be able to take time off, but I am currently the quality assurance manager at a small laboratory and we are preparing for an audit. As the thread states "How do you make time for events/visits?"

There are other ways to learn about schools than the ways you present. Instead of feeling bad about what you can't do -- start taking steps on what you can do locally including speaking to alumni, contacting current students, meeting up with other current applicants, speaking to candidates at other schools who applied to the programs you are targeting -- and other creative ways you can think of.

Do not let simple logistics and schedule conflicts stand in the way of really learning about your targeted programs.
