Hi,

Am new to the forum and really enjoyed browsing through the various sections.
I am taking my GMAT on 16 July, so that's roughly 7 weeks.
I took this PR online test and scored 690. How good is it??

Cheers,
Manan

What score are you looking at? Princeton is usually easier than the actual GMAT..thats what the consensus seems to be. Plus, as far as i know, princeton is not truly adaptive. only arco has an adaptive model.

In other words, dont take test scores toooo seriously. just work on eliminating errors and practice with a clock.

Just for giggles, we have a GMAT Score estimator that can estimate your score within 40 points  i know its not a great estimate..but we are working on a better model. you might want to try that out.

let us know if you need more help

Hi there,

Thanks for the feedback. I am targetting a score of at least 750+ coz I plan to apply to the top schools across US n Europe. I end up making a lot of mistakes on the RC and also on CR.
On the Math front, I end up making silly omission errors on DS which makes life miserable.

Any pointers?

Manan

Actually, the PR tests ARE adaptive (a friend of mine works there and I asked him about this before using their tests - wanted to make sure I was taking good tests).

A 690 on a PR test is a fairly good indicator, and their tests have gotten harder, so that's a good score! Of course you can't predict your end results from one score, so keep at it.

750 is good, but not enough, I would not focus so much on the test. I have a friend who got 760 and did not get into a single of the top 20 schools (Columbia, UCLA, Chicago, etc). His work experience was OK, but not a killer one.

The score will be a good support of your story, but getting more than 690, is not a proof of anything.
