I am currently still in the miltary. I has finished my bachelor degree in 3.5 years during my time in the service. I plan to get in University of Washington's MBA program. However, my concern is about the future employment. Will they care? I will be out of the military in June and apply to 2005 Fall.

I am not sure I understand the question- schools are certainly concerned about your future employment prospects in that you will eventually appear in their employment stat.s. Many students enter business school from the military so schools are used to students with that background.

I'm don't understand your concern also. In general military experience, especially if an officer, is valued by schools and potential employers. Couldyou clarify?

Sorry, let me clarify.
My concern is about whether schools want people who have a "secure" for jobs in the future. I will be out of the military to get in business school. I won't be back in the service. As far as I know, most people coming in business schools had to quit their jobs "temporary", but they have some kind of "guarantee" to come back to the previous jobs.

Many employers understand that when students leave to go to b-school full time they are not coming back. Indeed, many firms intentionally design their programs for students who have just graduated college to last just a few years so students can attend graduate school. Some firms might hire students who leave back, but this is far from universal. Even students who stay in the same industry often move to a new employer.

You mean the schools have very little concern about future employment?
