How many integers between 324,700 and 458,600 have tens digit 1 and units digit 3?
(A) 10,300
(B) 10,030
(C) 1,353
(D) 1,352
(E) 1,339

so every "hundred" has one " tens" digit and one " units digit" that satisfies the condition

i calculated the # of hundreds as

4585 - 3247 + 1 = 1339

I got 1339 by doing the following way

458600-
324700
______
133900

Then divided this by 100 to get one in a hundred.

What is the right way to do for these problems.

It means that tens digit and units digit are constant and you can only change other digits...answer=> 4586 - 3247= 1339
