c=25 not 40

a+c = 70
b+c = 65

a+b+c=110
a+b+2c=135

Subtracting first one from second one we get c=25

Thank you for pointing out the mistake. Made the correction. :)

Thankfully DS questions do NOT require us to get the final value and strategically we must avoid getting into calculations whose outcome is very predictable such was the case in this question.

How many members of a certain country club play both squash and racque [#permalink]
Bunuel

Can you please explain why the Neither scenario is ruled? How do i recognise when to take into account the neither scenario and when not?

Doesn't either squash or racquetball mean; Squash-only + Racquetball-only ???

Thanks in advance!
