Find: nos. divisible by 13 between 300 and 500
Approach: Use AP
a1 = 312, an = 494
494 = 312 + (n-1)13
182 = 13(n-1)
n-1 = 14
n = 15

ans is C

500 : 13 = 38,4
300 : 13 = 23,7

38,4-23,7 = 14,7

Hi therealyoyo,

You almost got it!( Note: It says Between )

13*24=312 First number
13*38=494 Last number
Hence total numbers inclusive ->38-24+1= 15
IMO - Ans: C

In this interval, the largest multiple of 13 is 494, and the smallest is 312. Thus, the number of numbers between 300 and 500 that are divisible by 13 is:

(494 - 312)/13 + 1 = 182/13 + 1 = 15

Answer: C

Asked: How many number between 300 and 500 are divisible by 13 ?

13*24 = 312 is the first number = a
13*38= 494 is the last number = l
of an arithmetic progression with d = 13

n-1 = (l-a)/d = 14
n = 15
