IMO A

from statement 1
P(green ball)= 1/12
hence out of 60 balls 5 balls are green.
Sufficient

from statement 2
Of the 12 balls that were taken out of the basket, 1 was green
insufficient as of the next 12 balls taken out there can be 0 or any number of green balls


hence A

I don't think the answer is D.

Statement 2 does not say, 1 in 12 is green. It says out of twelve balls taken out, one was green. The 12 may not be an accurate sample set. Additionally, maybe the next set of 12 balls taken out contains 4 green balls.

Thanks for the correction. You are right. It does not say 1 in 12 is green :)

Statement 1 : 1/12 -> multiply by 5 -> 5/60 -> probabaility of getting a green ball .. Suff
Statement 2 : give information about 12 of the 60 balls.. Not suff
