Let Bill read $$x$$ papers and Tim $$y$$ in $$60$$ minutes

Statement 1: implies $$x=2y$$. two variable, one equation hence insufficient

Statement 2: implies $$x=y+30$$. two variable, one equation hence insufficient

Combining 1 & 2 we have two variable and two linear equations. Hence can be solved to find the value of $$x$$ & $$y$$. Sufficient
