How many real solutions are there?
x^2тАУ3|x|+2=0

In my view, the answer is 2 and -2. I know that 1 and - 1 too Try to put these numbers in the problem. Why others said 4 ? but don't know how to solve.

They meant 4 roots: 2, -2, 1, and -1

Case 1: x >= 0, x^2 - 3x+2 = (x-2)(x-1) = 0, {1, 2}
Case 2: x < 0, x^2+3x+2 = (x+2)(x+1) = 0, {-1, -2}
