hundreds = 1x100 = 100
tens = 10 x 10 = 100
uints = 10 x 10 = 100

total = 300

300?

from 1 to 100, 7 will be written 20 times.
from 101 to 200, 7 will be written 20 times.
-
-
-
from 701 to 800, 7 will be written 20 times + 100 times (for hundredth digit)
-
-
from 901 to 1000, 7 will be written 20 times.

so 20 * 100 + 100 = 300.

so 20 * 100 + 100 = 300.

20*10 I suppose.
Got 300 as well.
