How much money is saved by buying a box of a dozen donuts instead of 12 donuts singly?

(1) When purchased in a box of 12, the cost of each donut is $0.05 less than if purchased singly.

(2) The price of a box of a dozen donuts is $2.40.

A - Its is explicitly given that the difference in the cost of each donuts when buying in a box a singly = 0.05

Hence just multiplying it by 12 will give us the amount of money saved. - Sufficient

B - As per this price of a box of dozen donuts is given, which will help us figure the price of each donuts in the box, but we do not know the price of donuts when sold singly, hence we can't know the difference in price, which is required to calculate the amount of money saved. - Insufficient

Hence answer is A
