Hi
This is Mohammed from KSA. As you can tell I am not an English native speaker.
I have a quick question. I just got
the official guide for GMAT review with the math and verbal book. Also, I have Kaplan book which I studied in 2015.
What do you think guys? Should I review the Kaplan book then start
the official guide for GMAT review with the math and verbal book or just start
the official guide for GMAT review with the math and verbal book.
Also, sometimes I find some problem understanding the meaning of vocabularies in math. Please if you have any math vocabulary's list attached here!
Thank you,
Hi Mohammed,
Please find below my recommendations :
1. Download the GMATPrep software and take one of two free tests you get.
You will find this in mba.com. Once you have a preliminary score,
experts on the forum will be able to show you a clear path as to how you could proceed.
2. Once, you begin with the preparation for GMAT, first clear your concepts(topic-wise)
and follow it up with some practice. To build your concepts, you could use Manhattan Guides
or the Math Book(link shared by @mkrishnabdrr)
For practice, you can find questions here at our forum - GMATClub.
Follow Bunuel at the Math Forum(for the Quant Section)
His signature contains some awesome questions that give you the true taste of GMAT.
Baker's Dozen, 12 Easy Pieces etc..
Also, Solve each and every question he puts up on the forum.
3.As for improving vocabulary related to the a particular type of problem,
if a certain type of question troubles you. Do some specific topic wise practice &
get rid of the problem. For example, I used to get confused when a question said
"three times as big as" or "he works thrice as fast as her". I did 20-25 questions with
similar wordings, like a drill. Now it confuses me a lot lesser.
Also, invest in the GMATPrep Test Series(EP1,EP2 and QP1) and use these CATs to assess
your progress.
Last but not the least, this is a post which will benefit you immensely(since you are just starting out)
