Excuse me, but how is it even possible to write 500 words for an opening, 3 arguments and a conclusion?
I tried very hard, but only got to around 400 or so. Writing 500 words just feels forced and very redundant to me... Is it really necessary? :(

AWA is graded with an AI and a human, so I am certain that following the structure above will help you. While there is no hard requirement, it never hurts to check the boxes.
Any AWA argument- any! will have at least 3 logical fallacies or something that requires a better understanding of critical reasoning.

Each logic can be pointed out in 10-20 words. The explanation can be provided in 60-80 words.
This gives you about 100 words each.
300 words covered.
50-100 Words to reframe the argument in opening, and 50-100 words in the end to conclude.

And if you really run out of things to write about add another logical gap that will get you 4th argument to talk about.

just to clarify, you recommend prioritising quantity/volume over quality? also, short cuts like "don't" and "won't" shouldnt be used?

AWA does not really matter for the scores as it is going away completely in 2 months but if you are just wanting to avoid a 3 or something as low as that then, yes, quantity beats quality.

The computer and the human do not actually read your essay for content. They are reading it for writing evaluation.

This not a logic or persuasion or argument evaluation. This is a test of writing and semi-garbage writing counts as well. As long as you structure your work, have clear paragraphs, points, etc. They don't care how serious or silly they are.

Very useful , thanks! Here are my main ones:
Structure Matters: Practice outlining essays with clear introductions, body paragraphs supporting your argument, and conclusions that summarize key points. A well-structured essay enhances readability and coherence.

Focus on Argument Construction: Analyze the argument provided, identifying its strengths and weaknesses. Construct a response critiquing the argument's logic, evidence, and assumptions rather than presenting your personal opinion.

Support with Examples: Bolster your critique with relevant examples or counterexamples that challenge the argument's assumptions or logic. Concrete illustrations strengthen your position and demonstrate critical thinking skills.

Write Clearly and Concisely: Use precise language and avoid unnecessary jargon or complex sentence structures. Aim for clarity to effectively convey your ideas within the allotted time.

Practice Timed Essays: Develop the skill of crafting well-structured, coherent essays within the 30-minute time constraint. Practice writing essays, ensuring you cover all aspects of the argument analysis while managing time effectively.
