guys i did all the practice problem solving questions on the kaplan2006 book but failed miserably in the 6 problem solving practices on the CD! i managed to do like 4 questions out of 16 in 25 mins!

on the other hand, i did very well on the CR, SC and RC.

i wanna improve my quant skills before i practice the kaplan CATs on the CD... what should i do?

i've spent a small fortune on prep books and have the same prob - i suck at quant.

after all this time, i finally found what i think is the holy grail of quant prep books - Manhattan GMAT strategy books. they do an amazing job of breaking down the components of each area and give you a way to build on the basics then apply that to the real thing.

go to the manhattan gmat website and they have a book store there. the books are $26 each, but are worth much more.

kaplan is junk cause it over complicates things. you'll never see half the stuff kaplan presents in the books on the real thing.

Live with OG for the next couple months...then you shall do ok on math.
The key to do well on math is to do many challenging questions.
I think integers, probablity and statistics problems are very very important....
