Anybody else going through this madness? Actually, this application is a lot more time consuming that I had originally thought, especially if your spouse is from a developing/former communist country.

It also complicates processing when one marks $0 for expected annual income over the next couple years.

Congratulations and welcome to world of legal US immigration. You are better off scouting the Mexican border. Dealing with US immigration is b-school admissions multiplied by 10. Make sure you start early and provide the right documentation the first time. Things get easily lost/delayed...just a heads up.

We are starting the process now with hopes of getting approved by the end of the year. Yes, US immigration sponsorship is a major pain in the a$$, and that's coming from a bonafide citizen.
