I am a international student planning to apply for u.S MBA next year.
I have a bachelor’s degree from a Korean university. However, I am attending a community college in Chicago to get American college education experience before applying for MBA.
Currently, I am taking an English composition class but I think I would get C grade from this class this semester. However, I have an option to get F and take the class again next quarter to get better grade (aiming for A).
Given these two scenarios (C vs. F followed by A for the same class), would you mind providing your opinion with regard to which scenario would be less damaging to my admission prospect?
Thank you very much in advance for your taking time to answer my question.
If you have a strong academic transcript from undergrad, even if it's from Korea, you don't need that "American college education experience" through a community college. A lot of international applicants, especially from India, China and Korea who have never been to the US before, come to the US and directly pursue their MBA course from the schools here. Yes, you might have to show proficiency in English language but a decent score in TOEFL will address that. We have worked with lot of international clients with similar questions. If you'd like to discuss your personal profile in detail, shoot us an email. Good luck!
