I study cr collection of gmatprep, and see that there are 3 tricks which are used frequesntly.

1. restate evidence, a trap used for A and S questions
2. contradict evidence, a trap used for W questions
3. affecting conclusion outside context of evidence, a trap used for A, S, W questions.

in OG questions, I do not see these tricks. I guess these tricks are used for 700+ questions.

to know example of each kine, do searching "restate, contradict evidence " in this forum. For the 3rd kind, see the following example

he get 400 score on gmat. So he can not get in to Havard

a, havard need 600 score minimum
b, 400 score shows a stupid person

B is wrong though B is very attractive. A is correct. the question for above argument is A or S .

we do not need to study these kind of tricks to get 700+. to get 700, we need to understand the argument in 30 seconds. We need very good reading capacity.

Can you pls explain why restating evidence cannot be a valid answer for a strengthen question

1. restate evidence, a trap used for A and S questions =>possible in strengthen,infer
2. contradict evidence, a trap used for W questions=>i guess you mean counterfact error. this error may appear in incorrect options of almost kinds of question not only weaken
3. affecting conclusion outside context of evidence, a trap used for A, S, W questions.--> out of scope or irrelevant which may trap in most of questions not only Assumption, strengthen or weaken

in OG questions, I do not see these tricks. I guess these tricks are used for 700+ questions. -->as i know the difficulty levels of og12 are arranged ascendent, to see if these tricks mentioned aboved were used or not, you can see the og12 explanations.

In difficulty level, the correct option is often very blur and requires some indirect infer steps while other options are made very tempting
