Ice hockey teams R and U played against each other in the final games of numerous championships. Which of the teams won more than 1/2 of these games?
(1) The total number of games teams R and U played against each other in finals is 30.
(2) Team R scored 128 goals in these matches, and Team U scored 203 goals in these matches.

1.By knowing the total number of games, we cannot assess which team won more than half of the games. Hence, this alone is not sufficient.
2.Knowing the total number of goals in these games scored by R and U does not give any clear indication who wins how many games. Hence, this also is not sufficient.
On combining these two conditions, we still can't arrive at any solution. Option E is the solution.

we need to find out which team won more than 1/2 of the finals.
Statement 1 : by knowing both the team played in 30 finals we cannot find how many matches each team win. statement 1 insufficient.
statement 2 : Team R scored = 128 goals and Team U scored = 203 goals
suppose they scored 100 matches
scenario 1 : Team u scored 203 goals in 10 matches and won 10 matches and Team R scored 128 goals in rest of 90 matches
and won 90.
scenario 2 : Team u scored 203 goals in 90 matches and won all 90 matches and Team R scored 128 goals in rest of 10 matches
and won only 10.
so cannot find which team won more than 1/2 of the games.
therefore statement 2 insufficient.
same when combined instead of 100 just put 30 . so combined also insufficient . Hence answer is E .
