Hello everyone - I am planning to take the admissions test of IE Business School. Has anyone of this forum has taken this test? If yes any idea from where I can prepare for this exam and what it looks like, what does it test etc etc.? The more information the better please.

Thanks in anticipation for the swift response to this post.

Hi IEMBA2012!

I remember there were 50 questions. They told me its common not to reach the end of the test, so answer as accurate as possible but don't take too long either. I got to question 43 on the test. The test is done with paper and pencil, no computers. There really is no way to prepare for the test; but it won't do you any wrong in reviewing all of what you mention in your post...

Good luck!!

You actually never know what you get on the test... Once you're done with it, they will save it until you submit your application. It's just then, that they look at your exam (along with the rest of the application) and decide to call you or not to an interview (based on the whole package)...

Hi Enigma,

I took the test almost a year ago, so they may have changed it a bit... This is how te test was for me. There are two main kinds of questions: First, they'll give you a text to read, mainly about a given situation in a company, giving you some numbers, etc, and then some questions related to that text. I found these questions pretty simple. The second kind of questions can be a little tricky, but if you understand the mechanics its the easiest part of the test. They will show you a flow diagram in which you have to interpret symbols. The idea is that you understand what each symbol means in the diagram to understand what they are asking. I don't know if I'm being clear about these types of questions (it's kind of hard to explain without a piece of paper and a pen :s), but you can ask me and I'll try to explain better...

Good luck with the test!!!

Thanks Canelon. Do you know any sample questions or know from where I can get them so that I can prepare myself for the test?

I don't know of any sample questions... When I took the test, they told me there was no way to prepare for it, and no information was given to me as to what the test was about. It's pretty straight forward really... don't worry too much about it. Besides its just one of the many things they will be looking at when they recieve your full application

Good luck!!

Hello Folks......

Do you know what is more important on the IE test? Speed or accuracy? Do you have a limited number of questions? Is it computer adaptive? If you have advice someone on what to prepare... what would it be? Reading business journals? View charts? Looking at stock information? quarterly report of companies..??

Thanks guy's, i am planning to take the test as well and i am just reaching out for help....

Thanks!

Thanks Canelon!

One more question - do they give you the results then and there or do they take some time to evaluate?

I recently had my IE Admission test. It talks about diagrammatic reasoning, some data with %age and then questions on that data. Actually, I had 60 questions and could attempt only 44 out of them in given time. Does that count on negative end or the accuracy will play a major role.

I have already submitted my application.
