On simplifying the equation we get y2-4y+4=0

Now discriminant, D=b2-4ac
(-4)^2 -(4×1x4)=0

Hence one real solution

Verifying by finding roots
Y^2-4y+4=0
(Y-2)^2=0
Y=2
Ie single root

Imo answer b

We have to multiply by 4y two sides of the equation.
Then we will have:
Y^2 -4Y+4=0
(Y-2)^2=0
Y=2
Option B

Multiplying by 4y, we have:

4y - 4 = y^2

y^2 - 4y + 4 = 0

(y - 2)(y - 2) = 0

y - 2 = 0

y = 2

Answer: B
