-3x+4y+3x-2y=28+8

2y=36
y=18

Substitute y=18 in one of the equations

3x-2(18)=8
3x=44
x=44/3

So, xy=(44/3)*(18)=264

( -3x + 4y )= 28
+ ( 3x - 2y ) = 8
________________
_______2y = 36

Or, y = 18

Find the value of x from 2nd equation 3x - 2*18 = 8

Or, x = 44/3

So, xy = 44/3*18 => 264, Answer must be (A)

Adding the equations together, we have:

2y = 36

y = 18

Using the second equation, we can now solve for x::

3x - 2(18) = 8

3x - 36 = 8

3x = 44

x = 44/3

Thus, the product of x andy is 44/3 * 18 = 44 * 6 = 264.
