(5+y)/(3-y) = y
=>5+y = 3y - y^2
=>y^2 - 2y + 5 = 0

Simplifying the equation, we have:

5 + y = 3y - y^2

y^2 - 2y + 5 = 0

Answer: C

Hey! I'm a little confused as to what we do with equations we can't factor like this one from the problem (y^2-2y+5). I spent a lot of time trying to figure this out before guessing 0.

Any help on the intuition / thought process for these would be great. Thank you!
