(1) 6 – 5x > -13

(2) 3 – 2x < -x + 4 < 7.2 – 2x

from given

x>2

from 1

5x<19 , i.e. x< 3.aaa and since x >2 and it is an integer then x = 3... suff

from 2
3<x+4<7.2 i.e. -1<x<3.2 and since x>2 and x<3.2 then x=3... suff

Could anybody tell me when it is appropriate to add up equations? That's what I did and it didn't work...

Restructure original equation
x>2, Value of integer x (which is positive as per give eqn x>2)

St-1 rewriting gives us x<3.8, for x>2 and integer x=3---sufficient
St-2 rewriting and solving -1<x<3.2 & give eqn x>2, the x=3 only --sufficient

8x>4+6x
therefore, x>2

St. 1: 6-5x>-13
-5x>-19
x<19/5

we know that x>2 and is an integer.

therefore, x=3

St.2: 3-2x<-x+4<7.2-2x
3<x+4<7.2
x=3
