1) a-b = odd
2) b = even

1. a-b = odd
For a number to be odd for a difference,
there are two options possible Even - Odd = Odd - Even = Odd
In either case, a+b is always odd (Sufficient)

2. b = even

Case 1: a is even, a+b is even
Case 2: a is odd, a+b is odd (Insufficient) (Option A)

if a-b is odd means 1 is odd and other even, given that b Is even certifies a to be odd, so addition of odd +even if odd.

If a and b are integers, Is a+b = odd?

Write out the possibilities to answer the question:

Even + Even = Even
Odd + Odd = Even
Even + Odd = Odd
Odd + Even = Odd

1) a-b = odd

plug in numbers
3-2 = 1
2-3 = -1

Refer back to the possibilities:

Odd + Even = Odd
Even + odd = Odd

3+2 = 5
2+3 = 5

Sufficient

2) b = even
A can be either even or odd, not sufficient
