P: a and b are two consecutive integers => b =a+1 when a is smaller of the two
Q: what is the value of the smaller of the two?

#1: ab = 6
a(a+1)=6
a=2 or a = -3
NOT SUFFICIENT

#2: \(3^a > 1\)
a>0
NOT SUFFICIENT

#1 & #2:
#1: ab = 6 => a=2 or a = -3
#2: a>0
=> a=2 since a>0
SUFFICIENT

Why are we only considering b= a+1 and not a=b+1 ?

x*(x+1)=6
so x = -3 or 2
insufficient
#2
3^a>1 b not given but a is +ve
from 1 & 2
a has to be 2 sufficient
