If a·b≠0, and (x−a)(x+b)=0, is b=a?

(1) x+a=0

(2) x+b=0

Statement 1) x+a = 0
x = -a
and also this statement implies that x+b = 0 [as (x-a) is ≠ 0]
=> -a + b = 0
=> a = b - Sufficient

Statement 2) x+b = 0
=> x = -b
Now (x + a) can be = 0 or can be ≠ 0 -> Insufficient.

Hence A)
